DISNEY CRUISE LINES PRESS JUNKET APP
Disney Cruise Lines had set up a press junket for the maiden voyage of their new ship, the Disney Dream. My team and I came up with a plan to allow members of the press to take a self-guided and gamified tour using video iPods.
Everyone was given a pre-loaded iPod upon arrival. The goal was to give them a real world treasure-hunt with a slight augmented reality bent. Using a map in the app, users could find Mickey-shaped QR codes to scan and unlock informational videos about the room or area of the ship they were on. The goal was to unlock all videos by exploring the ship.
